The Bane of My Existence
I hate this dresser. I bought it to match the Da Vinci changing table and 2 mini cribs I purchased, to get ready for my twins' arrival in November of '09. I put all four pieces of furniture together myself. The cribs are awesome. The changing table's only disappointment for me is that the bottom shelves are flimsy cardboard, but other than that I'm quite happy with it. But this dresser is a piece of, well, you know.
The drawer faces are screwed into the sides and held in place by a screw locking mechanism. Two on each side of each drawer. At least once a month those mechanisms fall out of place, causing the drawer face to come apart from the sides. Fantastic. And it's always a different drawer, or a different side. This last time it happened, I got so fed up my husband had to use wood glue to try and keep them in place. Hopefully that will work, and when the next mechanisms fall out, he'll use the wood glue again, and again, until they are all eventually...
