Can't get the little guy away from it!
At the Children's Museum in Phoenix there was a light box that my little one gravitated to. I couldn't find many like it for sale but this is similar. This is something that has to be sturdy and heavy. If it isn't built like a tank, it would break within 30 seconds of my toddler playing with it. I think this is why you don't see these for sale a lot; they're just dangerous if made cheaply and expensive when done right. Kids will naturally put their weight on the top of the glass while positioning their crafts so it better be able to take it. If you go with a small light box on a table they will not get as much use out of it. With this there is so much more that you can do. Try searching online for "light box activity ideas for toddlers" and you will see what kinds of educational and fun things you can do with this table. When you aren't using it as a light table, it's a fine activity bench, Lego/Duplo base, or desk in its own right.
