Daughter very pleased with her new headboard
Bought this headboard in combination with this frame Handy Living Full Wood Slat Bed Frame and are very pleased especially considering the amount of money spent. This was for a pre-teen and I suspect this will last through high school from a style perspective. Make no mistake - this is particle board through and through; however, there's no reason it shouldn't last. It didn't get the fifth star because during assembly I made the mistake of holding the top, curved part of the headboard as a weight-bearing piece and it separated from the rest of the headboard. $6 later after a trip to Home Depot I was able to easily fix the damage.
Speaking of trips to Home Depot, I ended up purchasing six pavers or bricks that using three on each side was able to lift this headboard 6" higher off the ground. I'm not knocking any stars off my...
